Objectives of the Conference
The conference will be an international forum for the presentation of advances and research results from leading researchers as regards post COVID-19 rebuilding efforts and economic opportunities in various fields such as agriculture, agribusiness, management, marketing, accounting, administration, entrepreneurship, banking and finance, logistics and transport, politics, security, sport, tourism, globalization, education, sciences, social sciences and humanities, arts, veterinary sciences, health and medicine, engineering, law and diplomatic studies, communication and media studies, information and technology, etc. Efforts are tilted towards solving day to day issues emanating from the pandemic. There are opportunities abound; individuals, organizations and societies have found new and better ways of navigating round the crisis. The rebuilding efforts cut across various fields of endeavours; this Conference intends to explore such areas and bring them to limelight. Consequently, this conference aims to attract academics, policy makers and all other stakeholders to examine the potentials for greatness and the way forward despite the disruption brought about by the pandemic.

RE: Prof. Chinweobo Emmanuel Umeora, Ph.D.

Chinweobo Emmanuel Umeora is a Professor of Banking and Finance at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (former) Anambra State University of Nigeria. He possesses these degrees: B.Sc. Economics (Hons) from the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN, 2nd Class Upper Division) 1979; Master of Science Degree (M.Sc) from Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT), 1996 and Doctor of Philosophy Degree (Ph.D) from Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), 2015. In addition he has final certificate of Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators, London, 1982.
His research interests are in the areas of Monetary and Financial Economics, Public Finance, International Finance and Microfinance. Other areas are in Sustainable Development, Small Scale Business, Family Business and Succession Planning. His research efforts have seen the publication of five main line textbooks (two of them co-authored), 40 Journal articles in Local and International Journals. His article on “Effects of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) on Nigeria’s Economic Growth” has consistently since 2013 been rated “top 10” in Social Science Research Network (SSRN). As at 2018 it has made over 4000 downloads.
He has attended and presented papers at many conferences at home and abroad. In addition he has served as Editor-in-chief of Journal of Banking and Financial Studies (Journal of the Department of Banking and Finance, COOU). He is also editorial board member of some local and foreign journals, for example Global Institute of Research and Development [(GIRD) (Local)], and Premier Publishers (International). In 2015, he was chairman of Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of an International Conference organized by GIRD.
At the university (COOU), he lectures and supervises undergraduate and post-graduate students. He has successfully supervised to graduation of M.Sc and Ph.D students. He also serves as external supervisor for Ph.D students in Nigeria centre of the State University of New York, Albany, USA.
Prof. Umeora has also at COOU headed the new department of Entrepreneurship Studies. His proposal for a post-graduate programme for the department is awaiting for senate approval as soon as the university reopens after ASUU/Federal Government disagreement/strike.
Prior to joining academics, he had sixteen years commercial banking experience at Union Bank. The last ten years was at branch level management in various branches. Apart from banking, he served in Federal Ministry of Transport (Government Coastal Agency) and Federal Ministry of Finance [Ministry of Finance Incorporate (MOFI)] where he was a member of Loans Board Committee. All these past experiences, he brought to academics.

Brief Profile of Professor John Ahire Sambe, FNIPR, JP

Professor John Ahire Sambe is a famous Nigerian
Professor of Communication and Media Studies.
Born on July 13, 1947 in Adikpo, Kwande Local Government Area, Benue State, the sound academic, Prof. Sambe attended DRCM School, Adikpo between 1952-1956; CBM School Newtown Victoria Southern Cameroon between 1957-1958; Owi 1 Baptist Day School, Abeokuta between 1959-1960; and Government College, Kaduna (Formerly, St. Peter’s College) between 1963-1967 where he obtained his Primary and Secondary School Certificates respectively.
Qualified to ascend the academic ladder, the fervor in an International Scholar, Prof. John Ahire Sambe did not allow the opportunity pass by proceeding to the Famous University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria between 1969-1971 and later to More House College, Atlanta University Centre, Atlanta George, USA between 1972-1974 where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B. A) Degree in Mass Communication.
Desirous to Master in his field of study, the International scholar of repute, Prof. Sambe again proceeded to Bowling Green State University, Toledo, Ohio, USA between 1974-1975 where he obtained a Master of Arts (M. A) Degree in Mass Communication.
That was not enough for the man who was determined to attain the Zenith in his chosen field! Following this determination in mind, Prof. John Sambe came back to Nigeria round it up by gaining admission into the prestigious University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria where from 1988-1991 where he obtained PhD in Mass Communication.
The academic prowess and dexterity of Prof. Sambe reflected through his versatility in different areas and positions. Few to mention are: he worked as a Headmaster and Class Teacher, Zaria Local Government Education Authority between 1968-1969; Assistant Information Officer, Ministry of Information, Jos between 1971-1972; Lecturer, University of Ibadan between 1975-1979; Chief Information Officer, Ministry of Information Makurdi, Benue State between 1979-1987; Editor/Coordinator, Benue Printing and Publishing Corporation, the Publishers of The Voice Newspaper between 1980-1982; Ag. Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Information, Makurdi between July 1980-September 1980; Chief Information Officer Research and Policy Analysis, Military Governor’s Office, Makurdi between 1987-1988; Deputy Director (Personnel), Local Government Political and Chieftaincy Affairs Department, Military Governor’s Office, Makurdi between 1988-1990; Director Planning Research and Statistics, Governor’s Office, Makurdi (1990-1992); Director (Personnel), Bureau of Information and Culture, Governor’s Office (Feb. 1992-Dec. 19992); Senior Lecturer, Benue State University, Makurdi where he served as a Pioneer Acting Head of Department, Mass Communication between 1994-1999 and later, Professor and full Head of Department, Mass Communication for a decade (2000-2010) where he graduated army of communication and media scholars spread across Nigeria and outside Nigeria which many of them are now Professors; Dean College of Management and Social Sciences (DCMSS), Kwarafa University, Wukari, Taraba State, Nigeria; Chairman, Committee of Deans and Directors (CDD), Kwarafa University (2009-2010); Dean of Social Sciences and Head of Department, Mass Communication, University of Benin, Edo State; and presently Dean Faculty of Social Sciences and Head of Department, Mass Communication, Veritas University, Abuja, Nigeria.
Professor John Ahire Sambe belongs to a number of Professional/Learned Organisations and Bodies. Few to mention here are that; he is a Professional Member, Broadcast Education Association, USA; Member Society for Motion Pictures and Television Engineers, USA; Editorial Board Member Broadcast Communication: The Journal of Broadcasting Technology, USA; Member International Association for Mass Communication Research, United Kingdom; Member African Council for Communication Education (ACCE); Member Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUG); Member Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON); Fellow Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (FNIPR); and Member International Communication Association (ICA).
An astute administrator and leader based on his versatility and weight of experience, Professor Sambe served in various Committees too numerous to mention both in and outside the University Community. He is a distinguished recipient of numerous local, national and international awards based on his contributions to the service of humanity and the society in general.
His contribution to knowledge through scholarly publications indeed is enormous. The versatile scholar, Professor Sambe published lavishly both in local and international journals; wrote many superb books and has contributed numerous chapters in book chapters. He attended local and international conferences, workshops and seminars where he presented over fifty papers on different issues.
The responsible father of Five, Professor John Ahire Sambe is a family man and a devout Christian. He loves playing Lawn Tennis; listening to good Music in his leisure time and he is also interested in public affairs.
ABRIDGED PROFILE OF DR (MRS) NANCY CHINWE AGHA

Dr Nancy Chinwe Agha is a senior lecturer in the Department of Business Management, Faculty of Management Sciences, Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki. She holds a Ph.D in Management and teaches Research Methodology, Human Resource Management and Entrepreneurial studies. She has several years of teaching and research experience in Management.
Dr Nancy Agha has authored three books in Research Methods and co-authored several other books in various aspects of Management including Entrepreneurship and Human Resource Management. She has published widely in reputable, ranked and indexed international, professional and national journals.
Dr Agha has attended several National and International conferences and workshops and has chaired three International Research sessions, at Harvard University and two at the University of London.
She has presented several Lead papers at different conferences held in Nigeria and some other African countries. Some of the lead papers include, “ Research Management and Excellence in Nigerian Universities”(2015),
“Attitudinal Change and National Development (2016), at the 9th National Conference of Polytechnic Female Staff Association, held at Federal Polytechnic Oko, Anambra State
“ Bridging The Gap Between Teaching and Research” presented at the 14th Annual National Conference of the National Association for Research Development, held in Nigeria and “ Fostering the next generation of women Entrepreneurs” presented at the SHEROES International Leadership Conference held in Accra Ghana (2018).
Dr Nancy Agha has won so many awards in the areas of leadership, education and community development, the latest being the 2019 Outstanding Leadership Award by the International SHEROES Foundation at the SHEROES Global Leadership Forum held at the Labadi Beach Hotel Accra Ghana.
Dr Agha is a full member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM). She hails from Afikpo in Ebonyi state, South East Nigeria and is happily married.

All submissions must include a Title, Authors (names, affiliations, e-mails of all authors), an Abstract (no more than 300 words) and 3-6 Keywords. Paper submissions should not exceed 25 pages, including the Abstract, text body (Introduction, Theory, Methods, Findings, Discussion, Conclusions and Implications/Recommendations), Tables, Figures and References. Full papers must be in Microsoft Word with a font size of 12. Single line spacing should be maintained.
